Extremely musically intelligent and intuitively sensitive...

I first met Sladjana at Chicago Summer Opera in 2016 and was immediately impressed with how easily she negotiated the taxing role of Vitellia. She possesses a rich, dark-toned lyric spinto voice with an easy top of brilliance and focus and can also execute accurate and difficult coloratura with accuracy and aplomb. Her voice is absolutely tailor-made for the Italian repertoire with an evenness of tone throughout her entire range and an ability to sing luscious pianissimi coupled with an exciting, commanding timbre which is rare in a voice of her size. Extremely musically intelligent and intuitively sensitive to the demands of roles as diverse as Mimi to more dramatic and fiery roles such as Amelia (Un Ballo in Maschera), Tosca and Abigaille (Nabucco), she definitely has all the vocal ingredients to meet the challenges of her repertoire.
